"Humbold #1 is inspired by the juxtaposition of the humbleness and boldness it takes to follow Jesus. Humbleness because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble, and boldness because in order to love His people you have to be willing to have courage to be uncomfortable to meet someone where they are... which is often outside our little comfort zones. It is a reminder to keep them both in mind as we are here on this earth trying our hardest to follow Jesus in this broken and hurting world.

 
In the creation of this piece, a mixture of colorful yet slightly muted colors were used in the background to symbolize humbleness and humility and a bold black design was used for the foreground in semblance of boldness."

"Humbold #1" is currently on exhibit at The Gallery of Homes Rivendell in Oklahoma City and is available for purchase online.  Paintings in the Rivendell Home Collection will be available to pick up locally in the Edmond, Oklahoma area within 5-7 business days or will ship out during this time frame. Please note that transit times for shipping are in addition to this time.

This painting is unframed and has painted sides as a continuation of the art piece. It can be hung with or without a frame depending on your personal preference.
